Meteorological Database

The Field Crops and Natural Resources units jointly maintain an automated meteorological station at Gilat. Data is compiled annually and stored as Excel files.

Current information is available online via the Ministry of Agriculture's website (in Hebrew).

Information for the years 1993 through 2006 may be downloaded directly from the Gilat-Molcho site. Data includes: flow T0; Flow se; SPD max m/s; temp 2m max; RH max %; Soil 5 max; Soil 10 max; rad max W/m2; temp 2m min; RH min %; Soil 5 min; Soil 10 min; rain 24hr; season rain; solar_mj 24hr.

We would appreciate it if people downloading this data would send us email indicating:

• Name
• E-mail address
• Geographical location
• The purpose for which the data is required.

Terms of use:

• Use of the data in a publication (article, report, document, etc.) or orally will be accompanied by an acknowledgement that the information was obtained from "The Department of Field Crops and Natural Resources at the Gilat Research Center".
• If the data is incorporated into an article, a copy of the article will be sent to the Gilat library, to be available to the general public. In the case of data being used in a book, at the very least the bibliographic details should be forwarded to the library.
