Research Interests

Ex-situ and in-situ conservation of Plant Genetic Resources (PGR).
Collection, regeneration and characterization of local landraces and wild relatives of plants germplasm.
Studies of the Israeli wild plant biodiversity; morphological, biochemical and molecular characterization of the Israeli gene bank collections.
Plant pathogenic bacteria of vegetable and field crops; seed-borne diseases.
Development and validation of new or existing test methods for seed-borne pathogens. Development of standardized reference material to be used in routine and proficiency testing.
